Wedding days can get a bit hectic and its hard to think of everything you might need throughout the day.  While everyone’s reminding you to bring the big stuff… your marriage license, the rings, etc, we’ve come up with a list of other important items for the big day.

  1. Tissues – Even if you’re not going to cry, someone will!
  2. Sewing Kit – You never know when a button will pop off, or someone will step on your bustle, even a small travel sewing kit can come to the rescue. It’s a good idea to have some safety pins, clear nail polish and double sided tape on hand too for a quick fix.
  3. Comfortable Shoes – Fancy shoes are great for pictures, but remember, it’s going to be a long day, and you don’t want to be dealing with blisters on your honeymoon.
  4. Mints and Floss – You’ll be talking to everyone and taking a lot of pictures, be sure your breath is fresh and there’s nothing in your teeth.
  5. Deodorant – Wedding dresses have a lot of layers and are heavy! You’ll be warm, even in the air conditioning, it’s not a bad idea to reapply throughout the day.
  6. Bobby Pins and Hair Spray – Again, it’s going to be a long day, you and your girls will most likely have to touch up your hair at some point.
  7. Lip Gloss – You’ll be eating, drinking and kissing throughout the day, so you’ll definitely want to have extra lip gloss on hand, and a mini mirror to apply it.
  8. Band Aids – Accidents happen, be prepared.
  9. Ibuprofen – You’re going to have a lot going on in the days leading up to your wedding and probably won’t get a lot of sleep the night before. Make sure you pack pain relievers and any other medications you might possibly need that day.
  10. Blotting Papers – You don’t want to look shiny in your wedding pictures! You may want to have a finishing powder on hand too.
  11. Nail File and Tweezers – Nails break and tweezers have many uses from removing splinters to taking care of stray eyebrow hairs.
  12. Snacks and Water – You will have a lot to do on your wedding day, don’t forget to eat and drink plenty of water (champagne doesn’t count, you need to stay hydrated!).
